Global Liver Institute (GLI) was founded in 2014 by Donna Cryer, who received a life-saving liver transplant in law school after years of living with an autoimmune disease. On the 20th anniversary of her transplant, she realized her experience as a patient, lawyer, and professional health systems consultant could help fellow patients and those impacted by liver disease.
